Run 3 drops you into a network of narrow tunnels floating in space. You run along the floor, walls and ceiling, and the only real rule is that there is nothing to stand on in the gaps. Fall through a missing panel and the run is over. It is simple to describe and surprisingly tense in practice, because the tunnels keep narrowing, tilting and breaking apart as you go.

It suits a Learn to Fly 3 crowd for a different reason than the upgrade games next to it. There is no shop and no rocket to build. The whole game is reading what is coming and committing to a jump, which makes it a good short break when you want reflexes instead of a spreadsheet of upgrades. It runs in the browser with nothing to install.

How to play

Use the arrow keys to move left and right and to jump, with Space also working as jump. Hold a direction in mid-air to steer where you land, and click inside the game once so the keys reach it. The start screen shows the keys if your build differs.

A run is a stretch of tunnel with gaps in the floor. Some tiles are solid, some crumble, and later sections have slanted ramps or walls you can step onto when the floor runs out. Your job is to keep moving forward without dropping into empty space. Speed is mostly set by the game, so your skill is in timing jumps and in picking a path through the gaps.

Tips

• Look a few tiles ahead of your character, not at your feet. By the time a gap is under you it is too late to react.
• Steer in the air. A small tap left or right after takeoff is often the difference between landing on the edge and falling short.
• When the tunnel splits, take the wider path first while you learn a section. Narrow routes are only worth it once the layout is familiar.
• If the keys do nothing, click on the game frame once. This is the most common reason the controls seem dead.
