Hearts unblocked: play Hearts online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
Hearts is the classic four-player trick-taking card game where the goal is simple yet unforgiving: avoid scoring points. Each heart taken in a trick adds one penalty point to your score, and the dreaded Queen of Spades brings thirteen. The match continues across multiple hands until a player crosses the point threshold, and the competitor with the lowest total takes the victory.
While Learn to Fly 3 is all about launching penguins into the stratosphere and grinding out long-term upgrades, Hearts offers a completely different kind of calculated fun. It swaps physics-driven launches for sharp tactical deduction, where every card passed and every trick led demands foresight and careful risk management.
Because each round is played against responsive computer opponents right in your web browser, you can jump in for a quick hand during a break or settle in for a full multi-round tournament without any setup or downloads.
How to play
A standard 52-card deck is dealt evenly among four players, giving thirteen cards to each hand. At the start of a round, you select three cards to pass to an opponent. The player holding the Two of Clubs leads the first trick, and play rotates clockwise around the table.
You must follow the led suit if you hold a card of that suit. If you do not have any cards in the led suit, you may discard any card in your hand, with one exception: no hearts or the Queen of Spades may be played during the very first trick. The highest card of the suit that was led wins the trick and leads the next hand.
Hearts cannot be led until someone has broken hearts by discarding one on an earlier trick when unable to follow suit. Once all thirteen tricks are completed, players count up their penalty points.
Tips
- Count the Queen of Spades: Keep track of the Ace and King of Spades. If you hold high spades, try to lead or slough them safely before the Queen appears so you are not forced to win her trick.
- Pass dangerous high cards: During the opening pass, get rid of high cards in long suits or high spades unless you plan on shooting the moon.
- Create a void early: Deplete a short suit quickly. Once you run out of cards in a suit, you can freely dump high-value point cards whenever an opponent leads that suit.
- Watch for Shoot the Moon: If a single player captures all thirteen hearts and the Queen of Spades in one round, they score zero points while giving twenty-six points to every opponent. If you see an opponent winning every trick, deliberately sacrifice a low heart to block them.

Questions about Hearts
Is Hearts unblocked at school?
Hearts runs in an ordinary browser tab from learntofly3.org, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
How do you score points in Hearts?
In Hearts, you want the lowest score. Each heart card captured in a trick is worth one penalty point, and the Queen of Spades is worth thirteen penalty points.
What does Shooting the Moon mean?
Shooting the Moon occurs when one player wins all thirteen hearts and the Queen of Spades in a single round. That player scores zero points, and all other players receive twenty-six points.
Can you lead with a Heart on the first trick?
No. The round always starts with the Two of Clubs, and hearts cannot be led until hearts have been broken by someone discarding a heart on a previous trick.
Do I need to download anything to play Hearts?
No download or account is required. The game runs directly in any modern desktop or mobile web browser for free.
